National Direct Support Professional Week

The United States Senate has designated the week of September 14, 2009 as National Direct Support Professional Recognition Week to acknowledge the dedication and vital role of direct support professionals across the country. Senate Resolution 228, introduced by Sen. Ben Nelson of Nebraska, notes that direct support professionals are the primary providers of long-term support for millions of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.

On behalf of the people Mosaic supports, their families, and the employees at Mosaic, we want to say, "Thank you, Direct Support Professionals, for the work you do to open doors to extraordinary lives at Mosaic every day!"
